As a postpartum doula in Los Angeles, I’m a bridge between the needs of parents and the round-the-clock care of a newborn. I provide flexible in-home support and education to families when they welcome a new baby.
Postpartum Support for Parents
Welcoming a baby is a rite of passage for both mothers and fathers.
In Chinese tradition, the first month after birth is called the Golden Month. In the West, we are more familiar with the Ayurvedic tradition, which focuses on the first forty days following childbirth.
The period immediately following birth is a crucial window for dedicated postpartum care. This time is essential for supporting maternal health and nurturing the mother-baby dyad.
Postpartum doula support centers on your recovery and your baby’s care up to and beyond the first four months.

Scope of Care:
- You learn baby care through respectful, attachment-based methods informed by Magda Gerber’s RIE philosophy and early childhood attachment theory.
- Clear demonstrations and practical guidance support your own caregiving.
- Through teaching you how to observe and respond to your baby’s cues, we establish a natural rhythm for feeding, sleeping, and diaper changes that brings more calm and predictability to your days and nights.
- Breastfeeding support includes teaching and demonstrating comfortable positions. You’ll also learn how to achieve a good latch for both you and your baby.
- Learn bottle feeding basics to confidently pick the right bottle and nipple flow for your baby.
- You’ll learn and practice gentle soothing methods that help calm your newborn and ease witching hour fussiness.
- You receive education and guidance that supports your birth recovery, including physical healing, emotional well-being, and connections to additional resources when needed.
- You also have space to share your birth story, because being heard and supported is an important part of postpartum integration.
- When you need further support, I provide thoughtful referrals. This includes connections to clinical perinatal specialists to ensure comprehensive and appropriate care.
Daytime and Evening Postpartum Support
