As a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, I provide in-home support to families when they welcome their babies’ home.
To welcome babies into the world outside the womb in a thoughtful, relaxed, and organic way, I teach parents how to see the world through the eyes of their baby, imparting newborn care techniques and essentials, with a focus on Magda Gerber (RIE), AP, Steiner, and Montessori.
Babies thrive on consistency and appreciate a regular and predictable flow to their day. I help families nurture a consistent rhythm for eating, playing, bonding and sleeping, which creates a harmonious environment for the entire family.
Having a Doula
Welcoming a baby is a profoundly transformative experience for both mothers and fathers.
In Chinese tradition, it’s referred to as the Golden Month. Here in the West, we are more familiar with the Ayurvedic tradition of the first 6-weeks following childbirth.
It’s believed the time after the birth of a new baby is a sacred window for the rejuvenation and replenishment of a mother’s physical and emotional well-being, as well as a time for deep bonding with her newborn.
A postpartum doula nurtures and mothers the new mother while guiding the family through their fourth-trimester journey.
3 (3-hour) Postpartum Visits | $1200
As a bridge between the needs of new parents and the round the clock care of a new baby, postpartum doula services include the following:
